The Last 100 – Summer Update June 2019

I have just paired the ‘Last 100’ as I had around twenty birds from Dad’s Chestfield lofts brought here and they have not yet been broken into their new home. It is literally egg-mageddon at present!

However, I am not letting the eggs hatch and I am replacing them with pot eggs (artificial eggs) as I don’t want to be inundated with late bred youngsters at this time but, rather, I only want the Chestfield birds to bond and return to the nest. Fingers crossed.

In any case, Dad’s much admired wild crows that visit Chestfield will be delighted to have their regular unwanted pigeon egg supply reinstated. Dad loved nature and would feed the unwanted eggs to the crows rather than throw them in the bin.

That’s all for now… more ‘Last 100’ updates as soon as I have news.

Regards…

Phil.
